Timeline   Three hours after contacting Starfleet
The Klaxon sounded across the ship. Warriors leapt from their beds, dropped their cutlery and otherwise scrambled to battle station. The senior officers all hurried to take their places on the bridge where Ro' was already standing. As each of them arrived he began issuing new orders.

"Marla, engage cloak."

Marla quickly hit the button, and engaged the cloak. Then she sat back waiting for her next instructions.

"Jared you will find a transponder code on your data terminal. Set the sensors to track it, even at extreme range. Don't ask me how I got it."

"Wouldn't dream of it," the TiQ replied matter-of-factly, pulling up the code and bringing the sensors on line.

"Leah, use the data from Jared to plot us the shortest, fastest route to get to the transponder coordinates as possible."

"May'bel. Man your station but keep the weapons off line."

"Tell, I want you to turn off everything that is not absolutely critical. The Romulans will be looking for us as much as we are looking for them. No hints of our position."

Tell was at her engineering post on the bridge. "Everything?" and she gave a quiet snort of profuse laughter. "I can't guarantee I'll be able to switch.." and she made the sign of inverted commas in the air. "Everything" she paused "Back on when you want it . I suppose you still want life support? yes?." and not waiting for an answer. "It'll be on minimal."

"Then if you want me I'll be in engineering changing the fuses and winding down the elastic band." Tell left the bridge but just before she did she turned back for a few seconds. Should she tell them that they might feel a little out of sorts as she shut down unwanted systems? A small smirk appeared at the corners of her mouth, she wasn't that heartless. No doubt the Klingon's would be ok but the rest? "Be prepared" she told them "It will get a little rough" Tell left the bridge and headed towards engineering but not before stopping off at her quarters first.

"Hay'legh, pick your team and then get us as close to the signal as possible without giving ourselves away."

Hay'legh gave Ro' a nod and let her fingers fly over the console.

"Marie, I will need you at the transporter room as soon as Hay'legh has picked her boarding team. Our shields are down while we cloak and so are theirs. We may not be able to out shoot their ship, but our boarding party are second to none. Drop them as close to the Bridge as possible."

So, something new to do with my time. Being an officer has its advantages. She turned to head off to the transporter room. At least I'm not being ordered to join the boarding party.

"HIchop, break out the assault weapons. Stand by to repel enemy boarders who try the same trick."

May'Bel looked over at Hay'legh with an impressed look. Was she really storming a D'deridex with a handful of klingon warriors? He was still getting his head around all these bad-tempered aliens on Ro's ship, but this Romulan clearly had stones.

"Captain, if we're not planning on taking our enemy on ship-to-ship, I'd like to volunteer for the away team."

He glanced over at Hay'legh.

"Just out of interest, are we expecting to come back from this?"

"I'm planning on it - I don't know about you though," Hay'Legh replied with a tight grin as she skillfully manvouered the B'rel to the position she knew would give the ship the best opportunity to decloack for transport without being shot up to badly....

"Ro', I want HIChop, Marla and -" Hay'Legh turned and glanced briefly at the newest Matlh to come aboard. " - May'Bel for my boarding party."

An all Klingon away team...She knew it looked biased but Hay'Legh wanted people who would obey her orders without fail. From her current experience of the F'Hew crew, she could not trust the Fed humans to not argue with her about them and waste precious time.

Ro' signalled the three who were selected, "Die well."
