Database: B'rel vs K'vort vs B'traz

There seems to be a great deal of discrepancy over the size of B'rel and K'vort. There are sites that detail it in great depth. One good one to skim is http://www.ex-astris-scientia.org/articles/bop-size.htm The contaraversy comes fromt he fact that the same model is used in a variety of scenes, but put against different scale back grounds. The same model that towers over a D'deridex class (over 700m wide) si shown next to a humback whale to be about 50m long. Initially they tried to get away with the discrepancy by saying there are two classes, B'rel (small) and K'vort (big), but even this didn't work.

SO here is the Cannon ruling:

The frame type for the B'rel class ship was developed in 2200's as an atmosphere capable scout and attack ship. The exact dimensions differed slightly depending on the production house and supplies available. The average ship is 157.76x181.54x98.54m but variances of 10-20m is not uncommon.

In the 2300s the entire frame was up-scaled to the K'Vort, averaging 351.22x404.16x219.38m with variances of 20-50m in some cases. This new model maintained the ability to enter atmospheres and, unlike the B'rel, could maintain its shields while cloaked.

After the Romulan support for House Durass was suppressed in the 2360's, Gowron up-scaled the structure again, creating an unwieldy giant at 678.36x780.62x423.72m. It was designed specifically as a show of power and designed to match Romulan Warbirds, as a deliberate snub of the nose against them. Only three have been confirmed built, and it is unclear if they are still able to maintain atmospheric entry. These have been dubbed: B'traz class for clarity.
