Location   Neutral Zone - near Rihannsu Border
Faelirh ch'susse-thrai.
[Son of a B----]

The curse slipped from between Hay’Legh’s clenched teeth as she dipped the wing of the B’Rel to avoid the Cardassian fire on their Port side.

To Hay’Legh, the F’Hew might move like a dog but that Cardassian vessel was being helmed like it was a heavily pregnant cow. So far it had been a lucky pregnant cow – that shot had been a touch to close.

Well, she was not going to put up with it anymore. If she was to die, Thei'khaiell ssuin hw'aenevha would prefer to die at the hands of her own people, not at the twitchy claws of these Card'hassin kllhe. [Cardassian worms]

She needed to give HoS a chance of a clean kill shot. That means that she’d have to get a pursuit vector on that Faelirh ch'susse-thrai. [as above] Bit difficult when you are the ones currently being pursued…

Hay’Legh’s fingers sparked into action over the helm controls and the B’rel dropped like a stone in water putting her quickly out of the range of the Galors weapons, the ships inertial dampeners would struggle with the G’s but the Rihannsu was not worried about that. She cut their speed and spun the ship quickly to Starboard and tried not to listen to the groaning of metal around her. Nouhha [Deity] how she missed Rihannsu ships….

The move had taken the Galor by surprise and Hay’Legh swept the F’Hew up behind them, taking advantage of the Galar’s faster speed – the idiots had now over shot them. The pregnant cow was now invitingly presenting its arse to them.

HoS smiled displaying a row of fettered spikey teeth. As the B'rel groaned the wide arc around behind the Galor, HoS dropped out of cloak with one hand and hit the disruptors with the other, spraying a shower of firepower at the hull of the bewildered Galor. As soon as Hay'Legh had gotten them stable, he would get a clear shot at their stern with a torpedo or two.

Glancing at the display, that moment was coming in wej, cha', wa' [3,2,1] - fire! Maj Qa'! [very good!]. The display is momentarily blinded by the explosion and impact of 5 torpedos aimed directly at its engines and aft disruptor canon. When the proverbial smoke clears, HoS sees a satisfying gaping wound in the rear of the Galor. Metal pieces have splintered back like the peel of a HumQwat exposing twisted engine housing and power conduits. Debris has started to separate from its original orbit and QI'yaH (insert expletive here!)...

"Helm! Get this ship away from that hood ornament and its debris!". HoS reactivates the cloaking device and grips the sides of his station for stability. He's been driving with Hay'Legh before!

Ro' moves quickly to damage control and shifts power to the forward deflector. Even at Impulse speeds metal debris can tear holes in the ship. He remains there, unable to walk across hte tilting Bridge as Hay'legh executes her next manouver.

As soon as the torpedoes hit, Hay’Legh throttled up to full power and pulled the ship up into a steep arc bringing the B’Rel above the worst of the debris. As the vessel began to level out on it’s back, she then rolled the ship, bringing it back onto its belly. Several curses cut through the bridge but Hay’Legh ignored them. That will teach them for not strapping themselves in!

The console suddenly started to flash alarms and the Rihannsu gave the station a hard kick. Abruptly all the alarms fell dead. “Hhakh etrehh” [Stupid machine]

The two vessels were now travelling away from each other. That won’t do, Hay’Legh thought. HoS has a spare kill space that needs a gouge on his console, a Galor class would fill that nicely….

She suddenly pitched the B’Rel down and then rolled to Starboard as disruptor fire began to streak past them. The Galor had managed to keep some of their propulsion then, and had managed to turn to allow their guns a wider arc of fire. Whatever of theirs was supposedly on this rust bucket must really be important to them.

The bridge was beginning to get warm and Hay’Legh realised that they were beginning to run out of time. Jared said they had twenty minutes before the rad levels became lethal…how much of that time has elapsed now? It was then that Hay’Legh began to feel a bit of yawing in the B’Rel. The Galor’s initial hit on their rear shielding must have damaged one of the stabilisers. No matter, perhaps she should just go with the flow - as the humans would put it.

Hay’Legh allowed the B’Rel to yaw to port and then looped her down and around to come back on a heading towards the now limping Galor, not quite a textbook attack vector but HoS was an expert gunner. When they were back in range, he would know how to take the best advantage of it.

There was an explosion on the rear housing, but no weapons fire from the Cardasian. Ro' growled, "Who's firing at us now?"

,'. Jared to bridge! That SHOULD take care of our tag. I'd appreciate a minimum of hard turns until I'm back inside! ,'.

Ro' barcked at Hay'legh, "Change course. HoS, hold your fire. Maintain the Cloak, drop the shields. Get us out of here, Maximum Warp. Marie, meet me in Sick bay!"
