Tell woke up at her usual time all she could here were the heart of the engines and the breathing of Marla in the next bunk. She knew at this time there was only the night shift on duty and everything would be quiet. She picked up a bag that she kept for this time of morning and made her way to the conference room.

She had always danced it strengthened her bones when she was small and she liked to carry on with it, it kept her fit kept her strong. Tell had changed into a black three quarter length dance dress and tights. She warmed up with various ballet exercises whilst music softly played in the subdued lighting of the conference room.

She had brought with her portable holo emitters that gave her just enough space to dance with a partner. When everything had been set up a 20th century Russian dancer stood before Tell holding his hand out to her, and the music began.

What is that terrible sound?

Hay'Legh had not been able to sleep and had spent the last hour stalking around the ships corridors. She paused just outside the Conference room - the noise was coming from in there. It was some type of music though Hay'Legh could not recognise it. She activated the door and then watched in amazement as she saw the F'Hew's engineer being flung around by some strange man.

"What in Nouhhae [Deity] name is going on here?"

Tell was startled by the sudden voice and nearly fell. She stood up right and turned to the holo dancer. 'Thank you Michail' she said in Russian 'We'll leave it there till tomorrow'

'I look forward to it Theresa'

Tell turned off the programme and the holo emitters, she stood facing Eredth Hay'leigh.

'I trained as a dancer from when I was very little. I wasn't very strong at all and Dr's thought that it would do me good. I keep it up as a keep me fit.' explained Tell 'Do you er ....dance?'

Hay'Legh stared at the woman. "So because of this you dance in the Briefing room in the middle of the dog shift with a hologram?" The Rihannsu stepped into the room and let the door close behind her. "And to answer your question, I have been trained in many forms of dance."

Tell dabbed her face on a small cloth and raised her eyebrows at Hay'legh 'You dance? I had no idea, perhaps you could teach me some form of it, Eredh'

“Why does it surprise you that I dance? I know many styles, such as the Ballet that you were just attempting.”

And for demonstration Hay’Legh rose up on her toes and performed a developpe, followed by a quick pirouette and ending gracefully in an arabesque.

'That was incredible, Eredh,' complimented Tell 'So graceful, I would never have thought .....' and she stopped there 'I'm sorry Eredh, no offence'

"There is more to us Rihannsu than a love of deceit and death." But Hay'Legh smiled as she spoke.

“It is similar to the Karrienahre except without so much pointe work – and the fact that the Karrienahre can also be used as a martial art form.”

'Would you teach me' Tell asked her 'I have had some combat lessons, but I need to be more supple so that I can .... duck' She didn't want to say about Ro teaching her how to fight but she had a feeling that Eredh Hay'legh would already know.

"And if I begin to teach you the most sacred of Rihannsu art forms, what will you teach me in return human?"

'Take your pick' offered Tell 'I cant teach you to dance, you are far more superior to me in that.' replied Tell 'I could teach you how to play the violin, I have a spare one that I've made. Earth literature you might enjoy, art, I know a lot about engineering especially Federation.'

Hay'Legh studied the engineer for a brief moment, quickly asessing her options. "I've always wanted to play a 'Violin'...." She then nodded. "Yes, that will be adequate. I will teach you the basics of the Karrienahre and you in return can teach me the violin."

Tell smiled and nodded her head 'A good choice even if I might say so myself, when would you like to start?'

"I would prefer the early mornings, so this time tomorrow will be acceptable. We can teach each others art on alternate days."

'Till tomorrow then' said tell

Hay'Legh gave Tell a simple dip of the head and then left the engineer to finish her practice.
