Ambulance were redirected from various stations to the site of the violence. Injured and bleeding people were being dragged and piled on the landing platform. Among them stood the giant figure of a Tectonic holding Treman.

As the first of the Ambulance came in to land he strode quickly towards it pushing aside any who tried to reach it first. Treman was Corporation, and that carried a certain amount of privileged.

The rear door opened to admit the Tectonic and his charge. Inside the ambulance one bed was already taken. The Bajoran doctor eased Treman down onto the bed and began scanning. There was multiple lesions, internal wounds, some burning and a fair deal of shrapnel.

"What happened," the doctor asked as the human pilot began to lift the Ambulance off the ground.

Treman gritted his teeth in pain, "Some activists managed to get a frag grenade in to the Symposium. They were stupid enough to challenge the Corporation and they will feel the full weight of our vengeance."

The doctor paused just for a moment, "Your Corporation?"

"I am Victor Treman, Chief of the Corporations Arms division!"

"Speaking of weight," the human pilot called from the cockpit, "I am finding it difficult to get altitude with all the extra ballast. Think you can lighten the load?"

The door behind the hulking Tectonic swung open. In one fluid movement the other patient threw off their blanket revealing a Klingon with a very heavy caliber projectile weapon.

The gun roared. While the actual impacts were negligible, the combined force of the fire was enough to make the Tectonic step back. Unfortunately, there was no ground behind him and he dropped out of the back of the shuttle like... well like a stone.

Hichop felt good. Better than he had felt for a while. It almost felt Klingon of him, like he was complete. Alas the feeling did not last. He turned his attention to Treman. The weapon in his hands was a bit of an overkill for flesh and blood, but taking a limb off and throwing it out the open hatch, that would be fine and would send a clear message, not to mention not kill a valuable asset. Hichop dropped the weapon, pulled his knife and moved toward Treman. "A leg should do it".

Germite sighed. This interrogation was going to be really short if HIchop cut Treman's leg off. Germite would spend half his time keeping Treman alive. He didn't know for certain, but Germite felt that time was limited. He stepped back into Treman's line of sight. "If you don't want my friend to perform surgery on you, then you need to start talking."

Treman looked at the pair, "What did you want me to say?"

"I want you to tell me the truth." Germite paused. "Or my friend here will try his hand at surgery."

"For the love of Money, I've been kidnapped by the three stooges," Treman groaned. "You idiots. You think you can hold me hostage? There is a Corporate fleet right now in orbit with the most advanced weaponry you've ever seen, and I am a very traceable asset. You can't hide me, and they'll never stop looking for you."

Germite smiled. "Then it's in your best interest to tell us everything. Give them some time to find you. You would hate for this interview to end too early and have us dispose of you before your all powerful friends have a chance to rescue you." Germite looked at the console next to the bed. "Now you keep talking and I will start tending to your wounds."

"Everything?" Treman grimaced, "Just that? You have no idea what your doing, do you? No ransom demands, no actual information you want. It s a tragic and desperate effort. Who is paying you? Ferrengi Alliance? Orion Confederacy?"

Germite's head throbbed. "It doesn't work that way." He paused. "We'll start with an easy question. What kind of research are you doing at this facility?"

Treman groaned, "Do I look like an engineer or technician? I am a sales person. I sell weapons. Who has sent you? Do you have any idea of where you are, what you're doing, or who I am?"

Germite groaned. "A sales person, all we got was a lousy sales person." He turned to HIchop. "Do what you want with him, he's not even worth saving."

HIchop smiled. Germite made it sound like that wasn't going to happen. HIchop walked up calmly to Treman.

"A salesman. Wonderful," he said as he placed his knife into his wound causing almost no further injury but significant pain.

"I have my knife so far in you, but I have not caused any further injury. Now I am willing to let you go if you tell me these three things. No negotiation, no second changes. If you do not comply, I will kill you now". HIchop paused looking deep into Treman's eyes. "The three things I need to know are: who do you report to, who do they report to and where do we find them?"

Treman was just about to loose consciousness with the knife causing so much pain. But just before he did, HIchop moved the knife ever so slightly, rousing him with piercing screams. "Do you understand what I offer?" Hichop growled.

"Yes, Yes!" Treman replied. "But you don't. I am a member of the board. I only answer to the stock holders."

As he pulled his knife from the open wound, HIchop smiled and said "Thank you".

After wiping it clean and storing it, HIchop grabbed Treman by the remaining leg and dragged him to the open back hatch. With the other hand he raised the large gun he used to move the Silicon life forms.

As if asking for mercy, Treman bellowed, "You said you would release me!"

"I am, " HIchop swung Treman with one arm thrusting him airborne and out the hatch and then fired into his chest.

Hichop turned back to Germite and punched the panel to close the hatch. Germite looked shocked. It was far more violent that he had ever seen HIchop before. "It was a mercy I showed him. At least that way, Treman would not have to suffer fear as he plummeted to the ground, or at the hands of Ro'."

Germite's definition of mercy did not mesh with HIchop's definition. He started to say as much, but then stopped as it wouldn't have done any good. There was a decision to be made, whether to follow up on the information or to regroup and try to find Ro'. It would come down to what they would think that Ro' would expect. Germite's opinion was to press forward while they had the initiative. Ro' would find them if he wanted to give orders. Germite turned to the pilot to give orders but before he could he noticed the view in front of them.

The Ambulance had been climbing constantly and was now reaching the edge of the atmosphere. Ahead of them was a battle field. The wreckage from a number of ships of various sizes was spreading out around them, and directly ahead was a Federation Miranda Class. The registration said USS Prospero.

The pilot looked back at the others, "Anyone know if they are on our side?"

Germite looked out the viewscreen. "I don't know. You could tell them that we are a medical shuttle and are standing by to offer assistance."

The pilot shrugged, "Sure. At least we know Starfleet won't shoot us. Maybe they know what is going on."
