Israna walks into the sickbay and notices Michelle standing silently, fiddling with her on-screen monitor

"Lieutenant? Can I have a word with you, if I may...?"

Mike turns away from her display. "Certainly Ensign, what can I do for you?"

She smiles, "So.... This your first time on a ship like this?"

Mike leans back against the desk. "A Klingon vessel? Yes. A vessel with multiple species? No. Why do you ask?"

Israna shrugged. "No reason. Just a question."

She thought for a moment and asked another question.

"Ever found yourself in a sticky situation?"

Mike raises an eyebrow. "Multiple times. And some have been on the ship rather than off it." Mike pauses. "What about you?"

Israna sighed, "Tend to stay out of them.... Unless I am the cause."

She pull out my gun, screw a silencer on and aim it at Mike's head.

"I see you are in one already... One move and I blow your brains out."

Mike just sighs, "I suggest you look before you make stupid moves like that." Mike smiles, "See this small device in my right hand? One slight change of pressure of my thumb and it will shoot a dart into your chest. This dart is a neuro-toxin I have been working on. You would become a jabbering vegetable. And plus," she pauses for effect, "This helmet I'm wearing would remove most of the effect of that gun you are pointing at me."

Mike pauses again, "Your move."

Israna curled a smile, "Clever... Very clever I must say. I was trained to kill after all, as well as being a scout...."

She looked at her gun and threw it down. She then looked up slowly...

"So I don't need this gun to kill you... If I wanted to, I could squeeze your head together till your skull gives way as I crush it.... I don't think your helmet would protect you from that... Only bullets. Then again, I would have to clean my gear.... So why would I want to do that....? Brain-splatter stains aren't easily removed, you know...."

She paced around for a bit, thinking.... then sat down on one of your beds.

"I honestly would like to see you try and get to my head. Would you prefer bruises or cuts? Do bare in mind that I can also make fixing such injuries rather painful." Mike replies, perfectly calm, with her right hand down near her waist.

"Is that what you would like? I'm game..."

Mike sighs, "You're the one who brought the topic up, not me. I'm only planning on defending myself, and then patching you up in one of the most painful ways I can think of."

Israna just looked up at Mike, and laughed. She then got up and walked right in front of Mike, their eyes meet each other.

"You want a reason why I came over here?"

"I've been waiting to hear why since you walked in, and all you have done is threaten me. If this were a Star Fleet vessel I would have had you arrested for insubordination." Mike waits patiently.

"Thing is, we aren't...."

Israna sighs and sits down.

"You know, I wasn't gonna hurt you, you know that? I admire you, and I wanted to see how you reacted..."

I look at you with pleading eyes.

"Do you think you could teach me how...? Teach me how not to get aggressive and angry... How to keep my cool.... It was obvious that you would of struck me down if in a battle.... I know from your files. That martial arts... I really want to learn it... However, I have been in a psychological department most of my life..."

Mike takes a step back. "First things first." She pulls out a tricorder. "I'm getting medical profiles for everyone in the ship. So stand still."

Mike scans Israna and also takes blood and tissue samples.

"Second. How I knew to be calm. It was your eyes. There was not intent in them. As for the martial art, its not easy to teach or to learn. You will have to control your attitude and emotions to learn effectively."

Israna looks down at her feet sheepishly... 'I... Think I understand.... I will try. I need to learn this, before I kill myself..."

"I doubt you would kill yourself, more like you would try and kill someone else and they would end up killing you." Mike pauses. "I can start teaching you after we have dealt with the station, how does that sound?"

"Great! Uh.... Sorry about the whole point-gun-to-your-head thing.... Even though I was trained for the whole "Be like a assassin thing, I am not sure that will help my achieve becoming a joined trill.... Only thing I know though..."

Mike pauses for a moment again. "The Joining huh? Well, if you give me a chance to go over the medical stuff in your file, I may be able to help you. I've met a number of Trill, joined and unjoined alike."

"I don't see how that can help.... Can't do it illegally. They will find out.... I have to serve on the rust-bucket of a ship for a certain period to help with my anger issues.... That, and....... My past...." I look away, saddened a little. "Until I have that all sorted out and back in order, I will become available to become a joined trill. Not before..."

"I never said anything about doing it illegally. I offered to help, you don't have to accept it." Mike says.

"No! My parents both were.... I know they will be proud of me if I do....." I tighten my fist. "What do I have to do...?"

Mike points at her fist. "Cut that out to start with. Don't instantly get angry at simple things people say. Learn to know when to respond or not. Try counting to ten before you actually respond."

Israna shuts up real quick. "......Okay."

Mike looks at the time. "Looks like we had better get ready to go. We'll be heading to the station shortly."

Israna nods, but doesn't say anything. She heads for the armory to collect her things.

Mike turns and once again preps her own gear for transport.
