Timeline   After Marie's death
Cha'a' and HIchop were working their way along the EPS feed line that linked the tertiary power flow from the Impulse reactors to the Emergency Batteries. So far everything had appeared normal. Ch'a' was using a basic tricorder to test for stress fractures while HIchop was giving a visual inspection.

They were about half way through when Tell arrived at a run.

Tell knew the ship well and ran at a fast pace to get to the others.

"Both of you, get out, NOW," she yelled. "We have to leave."

"We've been ordered by the Captain to do a full inspection of the EPS," Cha'a' replied not looking up from her tricorder as she moved from one section to the next along the pipe.

Tell looked at both of them and shook her head. "We have to leave now," she insisted "I've just seen the Captain kill Marie and JaqwI' in cold blood. We're all next, come on."
Tell urged them on to follow.

HIchop frowned taking a step toward Tell, "One does not throw accusation against the Captain. If he has acted dishonourably you challenge him openly to..."

As he was speaking Cha'a moved to the next junction. There her tricorder picked up a small explosive device. It was set to respond to tricorder scans which meant before she could even cry out a warning it ruptured the pipe and flooded her with super heated drive plasma. The wash spilled down the corridor towards Hichop and Tell.

"Better move it quick unless you want to die too," Tell bellowed already running.

Oddly enough, running ahed of an explosion is something Klingons are very good at, and Hichop actually managed to overtake her and start to seal the emergency bulk head. Tell had to dive under the quickly closing door, plasma flame washing over her heels.

Ru'fimohp and the new woman came running up the corridor and stopped short when he saw the other two.

"They're all dead," Ru'fimohp said. "I found this one hiding in medical. The Captain is killing everyone. What do we do?"

Hichop couldn't understand why the sudden blood lust but, if he was going to go out, he would confront Ro.

"I am going to confront my enemy. I suggest you pick up a weapon and do the same."

Hichop activated a ship wide comms, "You seem committed to your task, Captain. Far be it from me to deprive you of your honourable death."

"I suggest we arm ourselves and split up," said Tell looking at them "That way we stand an even chance. One of us takes her and heads for the access tubes that run the length of the ship and try and get back to engineering. Then we flood the ship with noxious gas."

"The access tubes are already full of noxious gas," Ru'fimohp replied. "Remember Ro' ordered them filled to kill of any rodents. We can't use the Jeffries tubes. I'll go with HIchop and find Ro', you get to engineering and do what you have to."

Hichop took his disruptor and started the hunt. The situation seemed so unimaginable to Hichop, but this is what it had come down to. It was his duty to become captain and if Ro' was going to take out the crew then his honour could not be easily upheld.

"We will have to tell high command what happened," Ru'fimohp said quietly. "This will be a sad blow for House Matlh."

Hichop glanced at Ru'fimohp. Killing Ro with a disruptor, while still a long shot, would not do anything for Hichops honour but Ro's honour and the honour of House Matlh were paramount. His task became clear. First Hichop would kill the rest of the crew and then Ro.

He leveled his disruptor at Ru'fimohp and vaporized him. Then he moved on to find Ro'.
