Hay’Legh braced her self as she felt the feel of the transporter beam release its grip on her. With her were Tell, Marla and some poor BeQ who she had snagged on their way to the transporter room. The Rihannsu just hoped that the Beq behind the transporter controls knew what they were doing.

They had appeared just outside main engineering.

“Tell and Marla get that door open. Now!” Hay'Legh and the BeQ stood back, their weapon drawn waiting.

Tell and Marla ran to do what they were told. Tell ran to the console to open it, and Marla ran to the door to see if her Klingon strength could open it that way. Soon the door was open.

Tell stood to one side the door, and no way was she about to be busted by her Commanding Officer for bursting in through the door to engineering with out her say so. Tell looked at her and waited.

Once the door was open. Hay'Legh stood back, waiting to see if anything 'unexpected' came out at them. It didn't. She signalled for Tell to move aside, the woman was no warrior and had the BeQ take her place by the side of the door.

"Is there anyone alive in there?"

***Inside Arcadia's Main Engineering***

The emergency lights within Engineering fluttered and the Red Alert Signal was interrupted as the Computer recognised the command from the bridge.

=/=Intruder Alert, Intruder Alert. Bridge and Deck 30, Intruder Alert=/=

Mela was looking at a console when the lights started flashing. It was a good thing she wasn't blind too or else she might never have caught it. She ran to Ore, and wrote on the paper, "What is going on?"

Ore wrote back, "Intruders, and I think they are coming in here."

Mela looked up with her mouth open wide then she closed it, and had a grim look on her face. Her voice was still basically missing, but she said something anyway, "There is no way I am letting them take over my department."

It was at this moment that Banks popped the hatch to the Jefferies Tube after leaving Jared and Walsh on Deck 22 to see what they can do about power, and both he and Nyasin stepped out into Engineering. They were confronted by an Engineering chief with something squishy strapped around her head and an Ensign who looked to be translating something to her.

Ore responded for Mela, "There are many things that need fixing. Currently the chief Engineer is having trouble hearing, and has lost her voice so if you need to say something, you have to write it down. So comms need fixing, engines, and of course the lifts. I can assign an Engineer to help you if you need help."

Mela was standing back wondering what was going on. She would have Ore tell her what the conversation was about after the other two went off. She started getting back to being frustrated. She just wished she could hear. That was all she really wanted.

Nyasin nods, "I can handle comms and yes an Engineer would be most helpful as the systems are slightly different from what I am used to." he dips his head to Mela and then nods to Ore and moves to go get to work, letting Banks take one of the other options, he knows that comms were one of the main priorities.

Ore called to one of the Engineers, "Anwarunya, come help the Lieutenant with the comms. Onona, help Banks with the lifts." Ore turned to Mela, and told her what had just happened.

Suddenly there was a loud screeching noise and then a female voice called into engineering.

"Is there anyone alive in there?"

The intruder alert still sounded throughout the deck and what security personnel there were made their way towards the main entrance, weapons held lowered but ready to react. One of the security officers came quickly over to the group of engineers and scientists.

"Find some cover, until we ascertain what the hell is going on here, I don't want to have to worry about non com's being hit by cross fire." The man's voice was harsh but not unkind.

Ore quickly grabbed Mela by the hand. She knew Mela hadn't heard anything, so decided to help. They found the closest thing to hide behind, and hid.

Nyasin doesn't bother with hiding. He looks at Anwarunya, "See if you can find something we can use as cover." he says and then tries to focus on the comms they need those working now more than ever and the Vulcan realizes that, even if it means he gets injured he has to try and get them fixed.

"Yes. Who are you?" The Security officer called out.

Hay'Legh raised an eyebrow. "I am Thei'khaiell ssuin Hw'aenevha, Executive Officer of the IKC F'Hew."

"Thei.....whatever," the Fed answered. "That is no klingon name. Who are you really? Just be warned that we are prepared to-"

Then in the blink of an eye things changed. The BeQ that stood on Hay'Legh's right suddenly ducked out and fired at a Fed officer who had made himself to exposed. That caused the rest of the Feds to return fire. Hay'Legh quickly dived for cover where the BeQ had been standing and drew her own disruptor and began firing, all the while cursing Ro' for making them set the weapons to stun.

She watched as the BeQ tried to make a dive for the downed Feds Phaser. What the kllhe doing? As he scooped up the weapon, Hay'Legh watched as the BeQ quickly stitched it from Stun to kill - Faelirh ch'susse-thrai but by now the defending Feds had a bead on him and the Klingon was downed before he even had a chance to point the weapon.

Marla had her phaser out, and took some shelter next to the door. She started firing inside, trying not to hit anything important. She knew Ro' would probably not be happy if the ship accidently blew up.

Mela was starting to wish she could hear something. She looked at Ore, and grabbed the pad out of her hand, "What is going on?" She wrote

Ore grabbed the pad back, "Phaser fire. I am not looking to find out who we are being attacked by though."

Mela nodded. Now she really wished she could hear. She probably had the best ears in the entire ship, and probably could hear if anything was being said, and then she would be able to tell where they were from. Now she just felt helpless.

Security spread out and started to fire towards the door narrowly missing some of the FHew crew. They tried to force themselves forward and take the forward ground, it was beginning to work and they were making a difference. They were now at the door and standing to either side of it, no one was going to get in here if they could help it.

"Sir, you really should take cover!" Banks was now beside Nyasin, glancing fearfully back in the direction of the phaser/disruptor fire. He was a scientist, not a warrior.

Nyasin shakes his head, "If I can get the comms restored we can report the situation and possibly get assistance from elsewhere on the ship, with them out we are vulnerable, it is logical to try to fix this. If you are worried get one of the panels off and use it to help provide cover while I try to get this fixed. I won't let her down." of course there is no other comment from the vulcan as to whom he is referring or anything of that nature.

Banks stares incomphensibly at the vulcan for a moment before a stray disruptor shots hits a wall quite close to them. He shakes himself out before uttering a quick "Yes sir," and busies himself trying to build a makeshift barracade for them to shelter behind as Nyasin worked.

Hay'Legh watched the Fed's start to push forward. And she chose this time to act. Stupid BeQ, why did the fool have to go and get stunned?

"Marla, give me cover. Now!" the Rihan snapped at the Half breed.

Marla obeyed the order, and came out from behind the wall to fire at those planning to shoot Hay'Legh

Hay'Legh abruptly broke cover and made a quick beeline for the downed BeQ, Marla's disruptor fire keeping the few Fed security personnel from firing at her. Until she got to the BeQ.

It was at this moment that one of the Fed's decided to make a rush at her.

Hay'Legh reacted instinctively, moving quicker than the human eye can see she dropped forward, sweeping a hand up to grab at the man's wrists, she then used his forward momentum to drag and lock his arm behind his back. A knife appeared in her other hand and was about to plunge into the man's throat. It ws at that moment that the Romulan, the two Klingons and the human suddenly dissappeared in a swirl of red transporter light.

A harsh crackle suddenly cut across main engineering as Nyasin made a small adjustment to the Communication Distrubution Array. Then Waugh's voice came through the ships comm system.

"This is Commander Waugh, If anyone can hear this please respond..."

Ore smiled, and gestured for Mela to stay where she was. "Good job, sir." She said to Nyasin.

"This is Ensign Taralom. We can hear you."
