General Overview
Marcus is a generally quiet, taciturn man much given to keeping his own company. On the rare occasions when he gets to know and like someone he opens up considerably, revealing the kind, thoughtful, infinitely curious boy he once was. He has gotten more and more careful about this over the years as the people he's let in have either died or betrayed him.
Strengths & Weaknesses
Marcus is a skilled personal combatant and an instructor-quality fighter in the techniques of his people. As do many of his race, he prefers to settle matters of violence along the clean, honorable edge of a blade. He fought against many who didn't share this preference however, and is well-prepared for them. He is a perfectionist who strives to be the best at whatever he does. He rarely succeeds, but he strives.

On the dark side, he is moody and emotional. His perfectionism sometimes leads to obsessiveness. He tends to view things as black and white, right or wrong. A man who wanted nothing more from life than to fight the good fight, he has been forced by circumstances into enough bad ones to become cynical.
Ambitions
Marcus's ambitions are simple and few. He no longer aspires to greatness or a role in the major events of the universe. He merely wishes to practice his art and travel among the stars.
Hobbies & Interests
Marcus loves the stars and the vast, fascinating expanse of space. He loves to travel through it, study it or just stand at a view port and watch it slide by. He lacks the education or temperament for true scientific work, but he is a serious hobbyist.

A secondary interest is in the fighting arts of other cultures. He was raised to be a sword master and a healthy understanding of the weapons, tactics and mindsets of potential opponents is a key element of this. He loves his own art and is never happier than when developing it or contrasting it with others.
