Thank god for that. For a second there I thought I was going to be ‘volunteered’ for the away team beaming over to the Arcadia. Last place I want to be is over there – who knows what dangers await those poor fools.
I suppose I’d better do something useful while they’re gone. I think I’ll wander up to Ops. Jared’s up there.
He’s a strange fish. Maybe it’s because he’s old. Mind you, I don’t believe for a moment any of that stuff about him being thousands of years old; a century or so, maybe – two at tops – but thousands? No way! Still, he’s fun in a weird sort of way.
Maybe the time will pass quickly. Hope so.
