Timeline   After speaking with Ro
Jared had stopped acting drunk. He'd made sure the woman didn't follow him, and he was well clear of anyone who would be surprised by sudden sobriety on his part.

Jared's race weren't affected by intoxicants like many humanoids - something that had proved useful more than once living amongst Klingons. His system filtered them out in other ways. HoD Ro was particularly fond of inviting newcomers to pick anyone on his crew and challenge them to a drinking contest - knowing they'd invariably pick Jared. It had given the F'Hew as a whole quite the reputation as being able to hold their liquor.

He'd watched others drinking enough times to know how to play the part however. And given the woman had been so... insistent, he'd thought he'd be better off acting like he couldn't tell and ambush from a hole in the wall.

Ro wasn't going to be much help, it was clear.

He pulled the Federation Tricorder out of an inner pocket. Useful little piece of technology, he had to concede. Quite versatile. He quickly keyed it to scan for subspace transceivers, bringing up Hay'legh's specific frequency.

178.3 meters in that direction. Jared quickly did the math. That was just under 120 rothai.

A Romulan was probably a better choice for this sort of thing anyway. Klingons didn't handle intrigue well. Whereas the Romulan seemed to find it hard to think in any other terms.

Which was just what was needed, at the moment...
