OOC: Tell was bitten by a spider crab a while ago and is now playing host to them. Without realising it she starts to act a little odd around everyone. She thinks its all of you that are acting odd while she thinks she is normal. Anyway join in and have fun.

Spiders seldom see too well.

Spiders have no sense of smell.

Spiders spin out silken threads.

Spiders don't have separate heads.

Spider bodies are two-part.

Spider webs are works of art.

Spiders don't have any wings.

Spiders live on living things.

Spiders always have eight legs.

Spiders hatch straight out of eggs.

Since all these facts are surely so,

Spiders are not insects, no!

"Dam and blast it" cursed Tell under her breath. It was the second time that she had woken up in the middle of the night with irritable skin.

As soon as Tell had left the conference a strange rash had appeared on the back of her hand and had annoyed the hell out of her. So she went to sickbay and used a dermal regenerator on her self and took a tube of skin cream. She didn't need this she was far to busy trying to hold the ship together and stopping everyone else from flying the bucket of bolts apart.

The soothing cream worked instantly unfortunately it didn't work so well on her foul mood. She had three hours of sleep left. If she didn't have enough sleep there would be hell to pay. She glanced at Marla who was still asleep and envied her. Sleep was Tells only time when she could allow herself to escape the confines of everything around her. She climbed back up to her bunk, she was hot and so threw the covers off and tried to relax and eventually she slept.

She heard her name being called surely it was to early to be on duty yet. She had hardly slept.

Corridor

Marie walked along the corridor. The further she got from the ladder to the bridge the better she felt and the more spring came into her step. Lagh! It sounded good. She'd never been an officer before – in fact, she'd never been anything but everybody else's gopher before. So much for all those back on Nouvelle Nouvelle Calédonie who said she'd never amount to anything.

Yet there was something else about her. She sensed a tingling as of anticipation. She could not place what but something was wrong. You're imagining it, girl. You're so used to everyone dumping on you you expect someone to come along an tell you it was all just a warped joke. Matlh has spoken and, he might be many things, but he's not the sort to go back on his word.

Yet she could not shake the feeling that she was heading for a fall. It clung to her like an all-enveloping skin.

Marla had heard Tell moaning a little in her sleep, and was the one who was calling out to her.

"Tell, are you awake?"

"Oh...................what now" she groaned "What's he gone and broken now. This damn ship will be the death of me." Tell eased herself out of her bunk with a struggle. Her whole body ached and itched. She scratched at her skin and hair. This was driving her insane, she had to get to sickbay for more cream and this Klingon was in the way.

"Tell, are you okay?"

Tell stood up and was over come with a wave of dizziness and nausea. "I.. I have to get to Sickbay..." she told Marla and pushed herself away from her bunk.

What Marla heard was jibberish coming from Tell.

Marla was confused, but let it go for now.

TAG: Anyone else want to join in?

Tell pushed Marla roughly aside as she headed for the hallway fighting off the urge to throw up. Why was it so damn hot in here? She shook her head but this resulted in a wave of dizziness that made her stumble in to Marie who was in the corridor.

Marie watched, fascinated, as Hope staggered out of her quarters. She'd seen people be physically ill before, of course, but it still gave her pleasure to see others suffer. Therefore, she made no attempt to offer the woman comfort or support.

Tell leaned against the wall in sickbay feeling stupid and ridiculous. She held a dermal regenerator in her hand and had dropped it twice now. She was so hot, red welts were appearing on her arms. She gave herself a broad spectrum anti biotic and really hoped for the best.

As she turned to walk out of Sickbay, Tell suddenly clutched her stomach, bent double and started to retch. She couldn't catch her breath and finally as she barely started to crawl away Tell was violently sick. She was never sick even as a child she was never sick. Her breath came out in fractured gasps. Not caring one way or another she made her way back to somewhere,

Hichop walked into Sickbay to see Tell in pain. A quick scan gave Hichop the knowledge he needed. “You are infested, Tell, with Mal'kor DebngejwI'. The good news is that I am confident that I can bring them close to full maturity and limit your discomfort. They are delicious.”

Tell was disgusted and showed it by throwing up over Hichop's boots just out of spite.

"I need something to get rid of them. To hell with eating them, just give me a pill, a hypo drugs, anythng." she insisted "And don't you dare say 'I have no idea' to me, understand?"

HIchop was unphased, "The bugs are subdermal. to remove tehm now, I would need to strip off your flesh and scrape tehm away. I would then try and return the skin, but the damage would be extensive. If you leave them to ripen them, then they will form small nodules under the skin and can be removed with a simple fork prick. Their blood is a mild analgesic, so after they are pierced the injuries are painless. It produces and exquisite tingle in the mouth as well."
