Timeline   immediately after HoS opens fire
Everyone on the ship recognises the feeling of the cloak disabling. Tell and Marla are especially surprised since they are in the cloak room when it happens and realise it has not been switched off. A fraction of a second later the whine of the Disruptor cannons can be heard and everyone starts rushing for the Bridge.

“What the..!” Marie felt the shudder rise from her feet to her head; shaking every bone, tingling every nerve end. Crates threatened to topple over onto the decking.

“Damn that cloak! Don't tell me it's gone down again. Maybe they'll listen to me next time I tell them how I've fixed it.”

She headed straight for the door to the Cargo Bay. She was no use where she was, at least she might be able to do something to get the cloak working again and she couldn't do that here.

Tell and Marla felt the ship rock against the blasts of the explosions and they both looked at each other. Marla moved quickly to the Cloak controls as she realised that it had been disabled but the instruments were telling her otherwise. Tell saw her friend work franticly at the controls and try to see what was wrong with the Cloak.

"Do you want any help?" Tell asked her as she was thinking that she ought to get to the engine room.

"Just reroute the power from weapons to cloak and it should be fine."

Ro' arrives first, quickly glancing at HoS and then the four junior crewmen.

Beq YIghegh replied, "We are detecting a Federation warship. She appears to be adrift."

Ro' looked to the Communications station then at HoS, "Hail them!"

HoS said simply, "I already did."

The bridge rocked as two photon torpedoes detonated against the shields. Hos doesn't break eye contact with Ro', "They are returning our hail."

Jared appeared through the bridge doorway at a run, and was at the science station seconds later.

"Federation ship. USS Arcadia NCC 77606. Charleston Class. She's pretty badly damaged, which is fortunate, given we just shot at her. If she was at full strength, she'd be way above our weight class."

"As it is... she's not in much of a state to return fire. She has her distress beacon on. And..."

Jared tapped a few keys, and the computer responded with an odd chirping beep.

"...It looks like there's a lot of radiation inside," he said with a self satisfied smile. "Thanks to a little tweaking to the sensors, we can now detect Alpha, Beta, Gamma, Analeptic, Baryon, Chroniton, Delta, Epsilon, Geodesic, Hyperonic, Kinoplasmic, Metaphasic, Neurogenic, Nucleonic, Polaric, Polaron, Thalaron, Thermionic, and Theta Radiation."

There was an ululating bleep. Jared frowned at the console.

"And Maleric Radiation apparently. Which is odd... given it can't exist in our dimension. I'll keep working on that."

Ro' began issuing orders, "Marla, re-engage the cloak. There are obiously still life forms aboard and if someone can shoot at us it means they have access to the bridge command codes, so it is either the Federation crew or some very clever hijackers. We must recapture the ship to be sure it has not fallen into enemy hands."

Tell pulled a panel off the wall and saw the immediate problem and after a few moments of exchanging wires and elastic bands and valves the Cloak came back on line.

"Try it now Marla," she instructed

Marla hit a few buttons and, with a soft whir, the FHew disapeared once more.

Ro' turns to his XO, "Hay'legh, I want you to lead a team to secure Engineering. Take Tell and Marla. I will secure the Bridge. HoS you're with me. Disruptors on Stun until we are sure the occupants are not Federation. Anyone who kills an ally will have me to answer for, understood? Jared, you have the bridge."
